2023 CES LEADERSHIP SCHOLARSHIP AWARD RECIPIENT DEVYN-SIMONE BARTON
Hello, my name is Devyn-Simone Barton and I am eighteen years old. I am about to graduate from Castle High School, in Southern Indiana, where I have maintained a 3.98 accumulative GPA throughout my four years. During my time in high school, I learned that you set your own limitations, and by trusting yourself, and being confident in your own abilities, no one can define you. I will be attending Purdue University in the fall of 2023, where I will major in Biochemistry on the Pre-Medicine track. I plan to go to medical school, and ultimately specialize in neurology or oncology. I want to assist in researching and treating degenerative diseases that are deemed "incurable".
I started attending CES Leadership Tea Parties at the age of four. Through the Leadership Program I learned how to speak in public and etiquette skills.
