Tiyana Carter

I am a 2020 graduate from The Illustrious North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University where I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics. While at school I was apart of a number of leadership groups on campus, including but not limited to, The Council of Presidents Parlimentarian and President of the Student Chapter of the Mathematical Association of America. I also had the privilege of becoming a member of the Alpha Mu Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Now that my undergraduate years have come to end, I am currently a Middle School Math at Jones Magnet Middle School in Hampton, VA. Becoming a mathematics teacher has been a goal of mine since I was little and now that I have the opportunity to live out my dreams I could not be more excited. Along with being a math teacher, I have also have my own Natural hair Consulting business called TwistedTiy.  Thanks to my mother, I started attending CES Leadership Tea Parties and other related programs and events at a young age and through the Leadership Program I learned etiquette skills and the power of using my voice at a young age.
My favorite quote says , “Don’t just exist , LIVE “.
