GG, As a retired Master Sergeant (26 yrs), you know that mentor ship means a lot to me. As a black man that spent 16 years as a single parent, and 21 years taking care of my mother in my home, I don't have a problem giving back.
I would like to volunteer to help support your endeavor to assist young people. My mother was one of the first to do this in Bklyn NY in the early 60's and she believed education and empowerment were two of the many keys to success. I also have a friend spearheading the "Clean Youth Movement". They had BET Uncut taken off of the air. Let me know how I can help and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Respectfully your friend Harvey

Spiritual healing was so powerful this morning. I don't even know where to start. Powered thru a meditation session on loving thy neighbor. In the process of redesigning it for young people. So much of what I teach is based on God's word. Learning to love yourself 1st is the only way to love thy neighbor. I teach children that bullies have not learned to love themselves; that's why they attack others. It has nothing to do with the person being bullied. I praise God for his word and allowing me to share affirmation with others.

Gigi,
I had the pleasure of listening to your interview on WHUR 96.3 and I am very interested in what you are doing with children in developing their leadership skills. I am a student at the Graduate School, headquartered in Washington, D.C. and I am currently enrolled in the Executive Leadership Program (ELP). The ELP is a structured upper level competency-based leadership development program that provides training and developmental experiences for high potential GS 11-13’s to prepare them for leadership and managerial positions in the federal government. It holds special significance for employees who need to complement their technical expertise with professional leadership knowledge, skills, and experience. The structure has been designed for program participants to acquire or build on the competencies needed to become successful federal leaders.

As part of my personal development within the program, I am required to interview individuals that exhibit great leadership skills. I had the pleasure of listening to your interview on WHUR 96.3 and I am very interested in what you are doing with children in developing their leadership skills. I believe that the workshops you offer for our youth are invaluable tools that will help them in their future endeavors. I am interested in interviewing you to get more background on the work that you do, as well as to learn the leadership techniques you use in your workshops. I would consider it an honor if you would allow me the opportunity to interview you. Please let me know when you are available for an interview.

Thank you for your consideration of my request. I look forward to speaking with you.

Respectfully,

Nikita Baker

I've been attending the CES mentoring program with Ms.Gigi at least once every week, since the beginning of 2019. The sessions I have had with Ms.Gigi so far have been about our visions and goals for 2019, what strategies we can use to achieve them. We have also talked about conflict management. As in what to do when we face conflicts and also how to avoid it. Another thing we have discussed is the hierarchy of education and what it takes to get to the top.
