This foundation is created to honor the life and leadership of Mr. Clarence E. Spearman. He lived an inspiring life, loved unconditionally, encouraged all beyond their mistakes, advised those who needed a role model, walked in faith and cherished his family. He led by example and epitomized leadership. We honor his legacy and vow to mimic his example by developing programs and teaching youth leadership character.
The Michael Allen Leadership Award honors the late retired Navy Senior Chief Michael A. Allen Sr. Michael earned a Bachelor of Science in Workforce Education and a Masters in Public Administration. Michael was the co-founder and Program Manager of the boys leadership development for CES Leadership Foundation. His selfless service included countless hours designing code for the original website, personal funding of workshops and stakeholder development. Mike's genuine and transparent leadership is directly related to the ongong success of the CES Leadership Foundation.
Louise Pepper Lewis Leadership Award
The CES Leadership Foundation, Inc 501©, installs the Louise Pepper Lewis Leadership Award in recognition of the outstanding military service and continued leadership excellence of Lieutenant Colonel (US Army, Retired). Louise served in the US Army in the Military Police specialty for over 20 years. Once retired, she continue exhibiting leadership as the Chief Executive Officer of S&L Enterprises, a company she formed that specializes in top-notch planning, programming, budgeting, financial management, training, research, and information technology services to both Government and Industry sectors.
Louise is a recipient of the CES Michael A. Allen Leadership Award for her 15 years of work and support of the organization. She has participated in the development of youth leadership programs for over 400 students in and around the District of Columbia. She always takes pride in all aspects of life and people, she executes everything with vigor and treats everyone with a high level of importance. Louise forms relationships that add value to youth leadership development, young professionals, family and friends. She is a self-starter, takes initiative to resolve problems, has extraordinary critical thinking skills and leads with love in everything she does.
This award will accompany the annual CES Leadership Foundation leadership award and scholarship in the form of a crystal plaque to a deserving student who demonstrates the iconic leadership skills reflected in the service of Louise Pepper Lewis.
